Kevin Clifton regrets quitting Strictly after seeing theatre work wiped out due to Covid

FORMER Strictly champ Kevin Clifton says he regrets quitting the show.

The pro dancer, 38, has seen all his theatre work wiped out by Covid-19.

His lead role in the West End musical Strictly Ballroom, directed by Craig Revel Horwood, is postponed until 2021.

Kevin announced he was leaving Strictly after seven years just weeks before March’s lockdown.

He won the trophy in 2018 with now-girlfriend Stacey Dooley, 33.

Speaking on his podcast, he said: “Who knows if I’ll go back to Strictly, never say never.

“I think if I’ve learned anything it’s you never close the door.

“You just don’t know how things are going to go.

“I thought I was going to be on stage all year and all of a sudden that’s not happening any more.”
